What a wonderful time and locale for my first ISTE! I gleaned so many useful resources, and connected with dozens of people, many of which I hope to maintain contact with. I certainly followed the advice to 'walk up and talk to people.' It seemed every time I did that, there was some incredible connection between us.
One of my main focuses is to begin developing portfolios in my classroom. I did a blog this year for Math, along with Math Notebooks, for the first time, and really want to extend both. Teaching 4th grade math exclusively this year, as our grade will be departmentalizing for the first time next year, will be the perfect opportunity to focus in on these two areas.
The other focus is to develop my own Blogsite, and to continue to develop a PLN. One reason for the blog is to house all the valuable resources I am discovering in my daily journey into the www, in a place where I will visit often, and find them easy to access. For now, that is my goal and motivation, but hopefully this site will develop with the students this year into something we will all want to share and make more interactive.
Welcome, welcome. Here we go!
